Enquiries to Vendors for Your Wedding

1 min readby Raphael Schlosser

What matters when enquiring with a wedding vendor?

Trust your gut feeling and, at the same time, stay a little open-minded: what do you have in mind? When enquiring with a wedding DJ, perhaps there's a special song from a particular genre that connects the two of you?

What matters to you on your day, what do you value?

An enquiry to a wedding vendor should be a dialogue in which you both communicate your wishes clearly and leave enough room for the vendor to bring in their expertise. Good communication, detailed information and an honest exchange help to avoid misunderstandings and make sure everything runs smoothly.

  • If it's not the right fit or you decide on someone else, do let them know – that's only fair.
  • Ask yourself: "Do I get along well with this vendor? Are they flexible and do they listen?"
  • If, for example, you get the feeling that someone really understands your wishes and vision and responds to them, that's a good sign.

In general, I ask a lot in the first conversation, including whether we're a good musical match – if you're into techno and heavy metal, I'm probably not the right DJ for you. Have a look around my website and get your own impression.

And if you're not getting married but would like to celebrate your birthday with a DJ, that's just as important, of course.
