For a few years now it has been considered the venue in Giessen: lovingly and elaborately renovated, yet keeping its old charm, the former slaughterhouse adds one more highlight to the nightlife of Central Hesse. For free ceremonies, the Botanical Garden – one of the oldest in Germany –, the Lahn meadows and Schiffenberg Monastery high above the rooftops of the city are popular backdrops. Schiffenberg in particular combines history, greenery and sweeping views like hardly any other spot around Giessen.
Celebrating in the city & surrounding area
People love to celebrate in the old slaughterhouse – the Who killed the Pig –, in the hotels and halls of the city centre or in barns and country estates in the surrounding area towards Lich, Grünberg and Wetzlar. I have played many of these rooms and know their acoustic quirks – from vaulted cellars to industrial halls.
